What is a Urgent Care Practitioner (Pharmacist)
Asses patients face to face or via telephone triage and takes a medical history and details of the symptoms from the person in order to make a diagnosis, and then advise on the treatment or management as appropriate. This could mean prescribing a medication or just reassurance and general advice. The postholder can make referrals to secondary care on an urgent or non-urgent basis if they think further investigation is necessary.
