Those things are changed by these awful diseases that our patients have. We find ways around it. And being in someone's home, you see the whole impact on the whole of the person and their families."

What is a Integrated community speech and language therapy service

Bringing speech and language therapy services for people with frailty into the community in ABUHB has supported people to receive care closer to home. Understanding what matters to the individual has been key to making a real difference. This service has gradually integrated with wider multi-professional community teams to ensure that people have access to the right service at the right time in the right place.
